Efeito do treinamento físico sobre a inflamação crônica em jovens obesos: uma revisão sistemática

Resumo

A prevalência de obesidade na infância e adolescência aumentou nas últimas décadas e está associada à presença de estado inflamatório de baixo grau. Apesar de o treinamento físico ser considerado importante componente no tratamento da obesidade infanto-juvenil, o seu papel como agente anti-inflamatório em crianças e adolescentes obesos necessita maior exploração. O objetivo do estudo foi revisar estudos sobre os efeitos do treinamento físico sobre os marcadores inflamatórios em crianças e adolescentes com excesso de peso. Foi realizada uma pesquisa nas bases de dados Medline (via PubMed), Scielo, Lilacs e Science Direct, considerando as publicações no período de 1998 a 2016. Foram encontrados 1176 títulos, dos quais 1167 foram excluídos de acordo com os critérios de exclusão, restando nove estudos para a análise. Os marcadores inflamatórios mais utilizados foram o fator de necrose tumoral alfa (TNF-α), proteína C-reativa (PCR), interleucina-6 (IL-6), leptina, adiponectina e resistina. Dos nove estudos revisados, cinco demonstraram melhora em um ou mais marcadores inflamatórios após o treinamento físico. Nenhum dos estudos verificou redução significante nas concentrações de TNF-α, IL-6 ou de resistina. Por outro lado, três estudos verificaram redução nas concentrações de PCR, um redução de leptina e um aumento nas concentrações de adiponectina após o treinamento físico. Dessa forma, não existem evidências suficientes que mostrem associação do treinamento físico e mudanças em variáveis anti-inflamatórias em crianças e adolescentes obesos.
